The idea for this five-day travel project was developed by Bettina Boeck, my twin sister, to which she invited me and our mother as participants.
As a literary scholar and conceptual artist, Bettina was invited to Palermo as part of a city travel program organized by CCT-SeeCity. Since my sister is confined to a wheelchair and travelling is not easy for her, she sent my mother and me to Palermo. For the project Three colours of the Italian flag (#third Italian flag) she gave us the assignment to photograph white (mother) and red (sister) motifs, while she herself concentrated on green motifs in Munich. For five days we published our documentaries on Instagram.
